Today at 11 am, 9.2 degrees were noted at SMHI's weather station in Krångede in eastern Jämtland. With that temperature it was the warmest in the country.

Frösön was 7.8 degrees warm at the same time and was second warmest in the country.

Today's listing is not a record for Krångede. On January 10, 1971, the temperature crept up to 9.8 plus degrees, which is the highest January temperature in the SMHI measurement series that began in April 1965.
