A teacher is punishing her elementary school student because she has not done her homework.

On Sunday, foreign media including Shanghai East of China reported an incident at an elementary school in Longgang, Zhejiang.
The male teacher in question started getting angry at a lower grade student who had not forgotten his homework last Friday. He grabbed the clothes, dragged them in front of the classroom, struck her cheeks, lifted them upside down, and even shook them.

Even after throwing the student down, the teacher faltered a few more times. The children in the classroom watched every corporal punishment and were afraid, covering their ears with their hands or crouching.
Later, the CCTV video in the classroom was released on local social media, causing criticism throughout China. The netizens were furious with comments such as "That's not discipline, but violence" and "No teacher".

As controversy escalated, local education officials issued a statement saying they were investigating the case, saying that "they have been suspended from the teacher."
