Initially, four people were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, but two of them were released on Monday.
The attempted murder must have taken place indoors in an apartment on Skallberget. The man who was injured had serious injuries when he entered the emergency room in Västerås on Friday but he is expected to be discharged within a few days according to the medical service.
The detention hearing for the two suspects will take place in Västmanland District Court during Tuesday afternoon.
