“Last year, more than 80 thousand criminal cases were sent to the court by investigators,” the statement said on the agency’s website.
Bastrykin noted that the results of work for 2019 inspire "certain optimism."
He also raised the topic of a successful investigation of terrorist attacks, including attacks against Russian troops in Syria.
On December 8, Alexander Bastrykin said that in Russia the number of law enforcement officers and special entities accused of corruption has decreased.
