Merkel spoke in favor of strengthening the EU in the New Year's address

The Chancellor recalled that in the coming year the Federal Republic of Germany will chair the Council of the EU and will promote this vision.

She also noted that the well-being of Europe also depends on the well-being of neighboring countries.
