The parliamentarian sent a letter to the Minister of Economic Development Maxim Oreshkin (a copy is at the disposal of RT) with proposals for the development of domestic and inbound tourism in Russia.
The deputy considers it necessary, together with the Russian Foreign Ministry, to consider introducing a special international visa for the period of the New Year holidays.
As a possible format, it is proposed to issue express visas for seven days.
“For foreigners, our New Year’s traditions are exotic, which every year becomes more interesting to them. To strengthen this interest and spur tourist flow, it is proposed to launch weekly express visas or a special international document, Happy New Year in Russia, with a simplified design for visiting our country, ”Viktor Zubarev explained.
Earlier, the Association of Tour Operators evaluated the benefits of introducing electronic visas.
