A few years ago, the technical administration in Boden was at a gender equality forum and was told about how Karlskoga Municipality introduced equality snow removal, after research showed that it is mainly women who use walking and cycling routes. Bodens municipality got a think tank and since then they have had gender equality in mind during the snow removal.
- Unfortunately, it is usually the case that there are women who go with the children to leisure homes and kindergartens and schools in the mornings. So then we snow the parts first.
