“Russian Ambassador Antonov Antonov met with US Ambassador to Russia Sullivan,” TASS quoted the Russian Embassy as saying.
It is noted that the meeting was held at the residence of the head of the Russian diplomatic mission in Washington.
It is clarified that during the meeting there was an exchange of views on the current state and prospects of relations between Russia and the United States.
On December 23, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo swore in the new US ambassador to Russia, John Sullivan.
