The Glasgow Rangers went on to beat their hated rivals Celtic on Saturday, their first away victory (2-1) away in nine years in the hot Scottish derby.

In the standings, this victory in the "Old Firm" revives the men of Steven Gerrard in the race for the title of Scottish champion, detained for eight seasons by Celtic.

The Rangers are now two points behind the leaderboard, but have one game less.

Ryan Kent and Nikola Katic scored for the Rangers and Callum McGregor for Celtic, who missed a penalty 0-0.

The traditional roughness of the Glasgow derby materialized at the very end of the match, when the Rangers' striker Alfredo Morelos was excluded, sanctioned with a second yellow card for simulation.
