The Fujairah Criminal Court has examined the case of a citizen who accused a construction contractor and a construction consultant of commercial fraud, after his house became deemed to fall before he could reside there, due to the heavy rains.

The details are due to the fact that the victim used a contractor and a consultant to build his house, but the house broke its pillars due to the heavy rains witnessed in the Emirate of Fujairah, recently, as defects in the construction of the house and the exploitation of the contractor appeared to it.

The victim performed maintenance and repair of the damaged house, but he was surprised by the refusal of a responsible government authority to issue completion certificates, given that the building is not habitable and prone to fall due to defects in the specifications imposed in the building, as the concrete was not poured in conformity with the law.

The victim demanded that the accused be punished for his financial losses.

The two accused denied the charge against them, noting that the responsible party took a sample of concrete during the construction process, and did not submit any objections to it, so how are they accused of this charge now?

The judiciary adjourned the judgment pending the completion of its hearings in the case.
