Frenchman Alexis Pinturault won the combined Bormio (Italy) race on Sunday, the 26th victory of his career, making him the active skier most often victorious at the World Cup.

Pinturault, 12th in the Super G round in the morning, was the fastest in slalom and finally outstripped the Norwegian Aleksander Aamodt Kilde by 51/100 and the Swiss Loic Meillard by 56/100.

"I'm really happy. It was a difficult day. Here in Bormio, there is a really long dish. I told myself that I had no choice but to attack as much as possible and see what that it gave, "said the Frenchman who is making a good comeback in the general classification of the World Cup (3rd).

The Courchevel skier climbed onto the podium behind the Italian Dominik Paris (2nd) and only 73 points behind the leader, Aleksander Aamodt Kilde, his runner-up.

This victory is the 26th in Pinturault's career at the World Cup. He is therefore now the active skier to count the most successful, ahead of the American Ted Ligety (25th).

It was the 9th combined won by "Pintu" and his third victory of the season after the giant slalom of Sölden and the slalom of Val d'Isère.
