Lyon outclassed Bayonne (52-9) to provisionally take over the leader's chair in Bordeaux-Bègles, abandoned for the first time in the season the previous weekend, Saturday at the start of the 12th day of the Top 14.

With this enhanced success thanks to 7 registered trials, the LOU has provisionally 2 points ahead (40 against 38) on the UBB, traveling to Pau on Sunday. The Girondins will come back in front if successful in Béarn.

Reduced twice to 14 against 15 - yellow cards inflicted on Kilian Geraci and Rudi Wulf -, the Lyonnais were hooked a period before taking off. The young international center Pierre-Louis Barassi was one of the engines of success, a few days before the announcement of the list of XV of France for the next Tournament of the six nations.

Rowing by Yannick Bru cashed its heaviest setback of the season and a 9th game without a win, Top 14 and European Challenge combined. The Basques have not won since mid-October but remain in the middle of the table (8th provisional) thanks to their excellent start to the season (5 successes over the first 7 days).
