"The Mandalorian", a Disney television series anchored in the "Star Wars" universe, will be back next year for a new season, its creator Jon Favreau announced on Friday.

"Season 2 of #TheMandalorian coming in the fall of 2020," tweeted the actor and director the same day the first season ended on the Disney + streaming platform.

Jon Favreau had already said that he was working on a second season. Its announcement is therefore not really a surprise, but fans now know that they will have only a few months to wait before finding on their screens one of the star characters of the series, "Baby Yoda", become a sensation on the internet.

"As if he (Jon Favreau) had the choice," commented the specialized company Exhibitor Relations, saying that fans would never have forgiven him for not having the opportunity to review the very endearing "Baby Yoda".

As the "Star Wars" saga comes to an end with its latest installment, "The Ascension of Skywalker", which is currently making a splash in theaters worldwide, Disney is counting on the series "The Mandalorian" to continue doing live the brand.
