This is stated in a message published on the website of the President of Ukraine.
“The law establishes a ban on the sale and / or supply of electric energy imported from the Russian Federation (under bilateral agreements and on the intraday market),” the statement said.
As specified, the Ukrainian Cabinet "has the right to cancel this ban for a period defined by it in order to avoid an emergency in the unified energy system of Ukraine."
Earlier, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine rejected the draft resolution on the abolition of the previously adopted bill "On Amending the Law on the Electricity Market", which provides for the prohibition of imports under bilateral electricity agreements from Russia.
