The situation with the girl became known in January 2019 due to the appeal of the mother and child perinatal medical center.
By that time, the child was in a medical institution for several years. The center indicated that the girl could be discharged home, but the parents refused to take the child, saying that they were afraid for her health.
“Until a claim has been filed for the deprivation of rights, there is an opportunity to change your mind. We may find ourselves in a terrible situation - with healthy and lively parents, the child will be an orphan, and having brothers and sisters. And the next option is when the parents still decide to pick up the child. Guardianship authorities agreed to accompany the situation, help, look for a solution so that the child was in the family, ”said Kuznetsova.
Earlier, the guardianship authorities in Moscow filed a lawsuit against the girl’s parents.
On December 13, the Moscow prosecutor’s office explained to RT that they did not initiate criminal proceedings in March over the incident because they did not find evidence of a crime.
