Tuesday evening December 24, 15 relatives of Guillaume Soro were transferred to Maca, the remand and correctional center of Abidjan, Ivory Coast, after being presented to the public prosecutor. The former Prime Minister continues to cry out against the plot from Europe.
Guillaume Soro persists and signs: for him, he is forbidden to return to Côte d'Ivoire . In a message posted on Facebook on Tuesday evening December 24, the former Ivorian Prime Minister, presidential candidate of 2020, speaks of " arbitrary decision " on the part of the power in place. He also claims that " this authoritarian drift is worthy of the worst dictatorial regimes ".
As for the presidency, we recall that nothing prevented the former president of the National Assembly from returning to Côte d'Ivoire, but that his arrest would be automatic as soon as he returned to Ivorian soil.
“ Attempt to attack the authority of the State ”
Guillaume Soro is therefore now subject to an international arrest warrant for " attempt to attack the authority of the State and the integrity of the national territory " and " embezzlement of public funds ", according to the prosecutor. Richard Adou. But Souleymane Diallo, his lawyer, claimed not to have seen this arrest warrant.
Fifteen others of his relatives were arrested on Monday evening December 23 at the headquarters of the Generations and Solidarity Peoples (GPS) movement, including three party presidents and six elected officials. They were transferred to the Abidjan prison center for disturbing public order and rebellion, said the party's communication.
Guillaume Soro is not afraid of being arrested.
