The Criminal Court in Dubai has started the trial of an Arab student, for attempting to kill a 17-year-old man, stabbed with a knife, as a result of a previous dispute between them near soccer fields in Dubai, and the defendant admitted to stabbing the victim in his stomach with a knife, to settle an old dispute between them.
The victim said in the Public Prosecution investigations that he was playing football with his comrades when a joint colleague of him and the accused came to him, and asked him to accompany him outside the stadium to resolve the dispute between them, so he went out with him, and the discussion intensified between them, so the accused punched him in the head, then his comrades beat him , The defendant directed him two stab wounds with a knife in the stomach.
A friend of the victim reported in the investigations that he was accompanied by his friend when the joint colleague asked him to accompany him outside the stadium, and he was surprised with the accused and eight people, beating the victim, then saw him bleeding severely from his stomach.
In the Public Prosecution investigation, the accused said that he stabbed the victim in the stomach with a knife, pointing out that his comrades were aware of his desire to resolve the dispute, and he carried a knife, and the prosecution decided to refer the accused to the criminal court for punishment.
