“During the meeting, Supreme Leader Kim Jong-un analyzed the difficult internal and external situation and said that important organizational, political measures and military steps would be taken to strengthen the country's armed forces as part of the meeting,” RIA Novosti quoted a statement as saying.

Earlier, Moscow and Beijing called for the resumption of the six-party talks on North Korea with the participation of diplomats from Russia, the USA, China, North Korea, South Korea and Japan.
