At the meeting, Minister Kajiyama met individually with China's Minister of Commerce, Zhongshan, but did not meet with South Korea, calling for a review of Japan's measures to tighten export controls.

In connection with this, Minister Kajiyama said at a press conference after the meeting that he had spoke with South Korea's Minister of Industry, Trade and Resources, Song Yun-mo, for a few minutes after the meeting.

Minister Kajiyama simply stated that he had not had enough time for talks with Korea due to the schedule, and then only stated, "We will refrain from talking."

Regarding semiconductors and other raw materials destined for South Korea, items that are called “resist” were partially reviewed, and Minister Kajiyama said, “It is simply a change in the application procedure based on the actual situation of the transaction. It is not a mitigation measure.” Said.
