Sharjah Electricity and Water Authority has accomplished three major projects to develop a system for controlling and controlling networks and linking distribution stations to the control and control center in record time to achieve safety and speedy decision-making for maintenance, repair and maintenance of network balance. The projects included connecting 49 new distribution stations with a voltage of 33 kV at the control center and adding Feeders for 104 stations linked to the SCADA system to collect, monitor and control data.

In addition to connecting 42 stations to the network and the control center, implementing the project of expanding the fiber optic network and using a new communication system, it is the first of its kind in the United Arab Emirates to transfer data between stations and the control and control center quickly and with high accuracy according to the best international standards and specifications.

The Chairman of Sharjah Electricity and Water Authority, Dr. Eng. Rashid Al-Lem stressed that the authority uses all its efforts to keep pace with the major economic, social and civilization renaissance that meets the needs of the present and the future with competence and competence, thanks to the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah. The authority is a major development in the areas of transmission and distribution of electricity in all regions of Sharjah.

He pointed out that the authority is constantly keen on developing the control and control center and providing the best global systems for the center, which is considered a "watchful eye" to follow up on electrical loads, emergencies and malfunctions throughout the day to ensure operation, security and safety of work through monitoring and overall control of systems and stations in order to identify any malfunction that may occur early And work to reform it in addition to developing alternative plans to ensure the continuity of the operation of the stations with a high degree of efficiency and safety, and therefore the Authority is keen to provide all the capabilities necessary for the development of the center and provide the best and latest international technology to ensure its operation with efficiency and high quality Yeh.

Iman Al Khayal, Director of Information Technology and Communication and Eng. SCADA Department, Engineer, explained that the development projects that were implemented in the control department aim to take advantage of modern technology and new systems in the field of remote control (automation), which gives a comprehensive view and explained the electrical networks and their management better as it allows to know the loads Electrical at all stations and at all times and adds new technical capabilities to better network exercises.

She pointed out that the expansion of the optical fiber network in the emirate contributed to raising the efficiency and expansion of the Authority's computer network for current and future projects.
To maintain business continuity, advanced communication devices have been provided to enable the ability to fully monitor stations through cameras and communicate with workers inside the stations to face any emergency conditions.

She stressed the importance of the large role played by management staff working around the clock, by monitoring all aspects of work and stations that were linked to the SCADA control system and checking in case of any malfunctions even if they were simple to act quickly in order to provide an alternative to the service, along with follow-up Maintenance work.

The manager of the Control and Control Department, Engineer Othman Srour Al-Mas, pointed out that the development projects in the control center were carried out according to the latest international specifications in line with the nature of the work and ensure employees calm and complete comfort, especially that there are necessary systems that are monitored and followed up by workers in the control room, including the automatic control system of stations.
