Monaco won its seventh consecutive victory, at Portel, 83 to 63 on Friday, and preserved its second place in the French Basketball Championship.

The Monegasques (12 wins, 2 losses) are two lengths behind the undefeated leader Villeurbanne, who is not playing this weekend, having already played his match of the 14th day in September.

The Roca Team had already widened a big gap at the break (44-21) and was able to run in the second period against the red lantern. Yakuba Ouattara was the best Monegasque scorer with 18 points.

Châlons-Reims managed the "perf" of the evening by winning at Rhénus 83 to 69 against Strasbourg, who had six wins in seven games. The SIG has never been able to recover from a calamitous start (26-9). American leader Nic Moore scored 21 points for the club from Champagne.

Pau-Orthez moved away from the red zone by beating another poorly classified, Chalon-sur-Saône, 92 to 86, with 27 points from the American leader Justin Dentmon.

Nanterre, one of the fit teams of the moment, continued his good streak by easily winning at Roanne 102 to 79 with 31 points and 9 rebounds from the young winger Isaia Cordinier. The Parisians have won five of their last six games and have only lost to Asvel during this period.

Bourg-en-Bresse dominated Gravelines 89 to 80 thanks to a huge match by the Serb Danilo Andjusic: 30 points and 9 assists.

Le Mans won in Orleans 99 to 91 thanks to 22 points from its American leader Brandon Taylor.
