The Peace Forum in Muslim Societies affirmed that the Encyclopedia of Peace from which a chapter on tolerance was issued, finally, during the sixth annual meeting, consists of six axes, which are the overall perception and frame of reference, peace in the history of religions and civilizations, jurisprudence of peace, and peace in philosophical thought, and peace in The international legal system and peace education. The Encyclopedia of Peace is considered the first in the history of Islam, including the jurisprudence of peace, its rules, values and means.
The Forum said in a statement posted on its page on Twitter, finally, that the Encyclopedia of Peace is an academic project that seeks to present the Islamic perspective of peace, in all its religious, civilizational, intellectual and philosophical dimensions, in terms of observance, originality and liberation, in the form of topics that take into consideration the duty and requirements of time.
He added that the axis of the total perception and the frame of reference is concerned with simplifying the vocabulary of the overall perception of peace in Islam, and stripping its origins, characteristics and components, as a major global human value, while the axis of “peace in the history of religions and civilizations” means the collection of religious texts, with their study and analysis, and highlighting its position on peace Principle and practice, in confirmation of the saying that "peace between religions is an excuse to protect world peace."
He mentioned that the axis of peace jurisprudence is concerned with studying the concept of peace through texts and jurisprudential provisions that relate to it in the Shariah in terms of premises and goals, while the axis of peace in philosophical thought comes within the framework of the Encyclopedia of Peace in Islam in stimulating philosophical thought, and to provide a critical reading in its forms and concepts based His method of dealing with issues in terms of questioning, problematic and analysis.
The Forum pointed out that the axis of peace in the international legal system provides a careful analytical reading, showing the impact of laws and legislation, especially at the international level, in stopping the bleeding of wars and suppressing the fire of conflicts, while the axis of peace education is concerned with highlighting the vision, systems and programs to achieve education on peace.
The preparation of the encyclopedia came in implementation of the decisions of the second annual forum of the forum held in April 2015 regarding its establishment, to be the first encyclopedia in the history of Islam, including the jurisprudence of peace and its rules, values and means, according to the "forum" methodology in dealing with legal texts.
