Pensions: Philippe says he is in favor of phased retirement for civil servants - France 24

Édouard Philippe "fully subscribes" to the extension to civil servants of the progressive retirement system existing in the private sector, the Prime Minister announced Thursday after discussions with the unions on pension reform.

"Several trade union organizations have called for the opening of progressive retirement to the public service, in particular to teachers and hospital staff, an idea to which I fully subscribe," said the head of government, adding that concerted action on this subject will begin in January "to be completed quickly".
