That MTH education would appeal against the closure of the school was announced fairly soon after the decision of the School Inspectorate.

In its appeal to the Administrative Court in Stockholm, the school points out that the deficiencies that the School Inspectorate has indicated as the basis for the closure have already been rectified. Among other things, MTH education writes that it has been almost an entire semester since the last inspection of the School Inspectorate and the closing message.

“During this time, the principal and principal have been aiming to rectify the deficiencies previously pointed out by the School Inspectorate. These measures have not been taken into account by the authority , ”the school writes.

New economic conditions

In addition to deficiencies in grading and deficiencies in adjustments and special support, the School Inspectorate stated that the financial conditions were a problem for the school as the debts are larger than the assets.

In the appeal, the school writes that the financial shortcomings should be remedied by the school's owners going in with a shareholder contribution. The school is also discussing that the company Adeator Group AB, written in Sundsvall, should take over the majority shareholding in the company.

"Strengthening Leadership"

In the appeal, MTH education refers to a statement of intent from the Adeator Group in which Sundsvallsbolaget writes: "We intend to also strengthen the leadership with a trained principal who has long experience of free school operations."

The company writes that today it runs several subsidiaries that have been engaged in free school activities for a long time.

But in order for the Adeator Group to take over the majority of shares, the School Inspectorate must change its decision and that together with MTH education they reach an agreement on the terms of a transfer.
