“Iran has the legal right, enshrined in paragraph 36 of the JCPOA, to retaliate in connection with a US violation of the UN Charter and resolution 2231,” TASS quoted Nebenzyu.

He added that one should not be required from Tehran to implement Council decisions that were undermined by the United States.

“All Iran’s steps to reduce its voluntary commitments are carried out with the notification of the IAEA,” the diplomat added.

Earlier, Iranian ambassador to Russia Mehdi Sanai said that Tehran expects to continue cooperation with Moscow in the framework of the implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Action Plan (JCPOA), including on the Iranian nuclear facility in Fordo.
