Ulf Kristersson believes that polarization in Swedish politics has gone a long way and that the debates in Parliament are starting to resemble that on social media.

- It's a terrible development. I will do what I believe in, and I believe in talking to everyone to solve major important problems, he says.

The center party party secretary has called you the outside party, how do you react to it?

- I think it's stupid. The Moderates are a party with which they actively sought government power just a year ago. Today we think the same things we thought then. They just want to point fingers, instead of dealing with important questions, but I'm not going to answer with the same coin.

Is an alliance government even possible anymore?

- At a national level, the Alliance is fractured, but it lives in many places locally. Right now it is not possible, but my offer is firm. My arms will be open to more bourgeois parties in a bourgeois government, as long as one respects that it is not possible to wish parliamentary parties away.
