It is all based on the Migration Board's legal interpretation of the upper secondary school law. This means that 61 young people living at Spenshult's asylum accommodation run the risk of being left without housing and daily allowance. Another 30 young people can be affected soon.

- This is about an extremely extensive and urgent situation where a large group of young people without social protection networks are left without a roof over their heads in the middle of winter, writes Jonas Bergman, chairman of the municipal council (M), in a press release.

To avoid disaster situations, he has now made a delegation decision to use SEK 255,000 of the municipal council's funds for contingencies for an extended agreement with Agape Halmstad. The association provides help and support to the student youth to find their own accommodation.
