It was during Wednesday that the older woman must have received a call from a person who claimed to come from the police. The person said that the woman was exposed to a card fraud and that she had to come and collect her bank card.
After the phone call, a person soon came home to the woman and retrieved the card. It turned out later a total of SEK 19,000 is missing from her account.
"It is classified as a fraud and it is a crime that we are seriously considering," says Monica Bergström, police spokesperson for Region East.
