December 18, 2019The Virginia State court has given reason to the US government in the lawsuit against the former CIA agent and employee of the National Security Agency (NSA) Edward Snowden.

The latter published last September a book, "Permanent Record", in which he tells of how he assisted in the construction of the national security system in the US and how he later revealed it to the world.

The US government, despite never having blocked the spread of the book, sued the former agent to prevent him from profiting from the publication and dissemination of the book.

The formal reason: the failure to present the book, before its publication, to the CIA and NSA for approval, because it contains classified material, as provided for by the Snowden work contract.

According to Judge Liam O'Grady, Snowden, who repaired and lives in Russia, violated the agreements for the non-distribution of classified material, included in his contract.
