The Public Security Agency in Israel, known as the Shin Bet, revealed the dismantling of what it described as an armed secret network affiliated with the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, in the West Bank, and the arrest of its members.

According to the occupation forces, members of an armed organization, estimated to number 50, carried out a series of operations and attacks, including detonating a remote device that killed a settlement and injured its relatives near Ein Boubin, which is adjacent to the village of Deir Buzayi, west of Ramallah, last August, and targeted buses. And settler sites during the past year and a half.

The Shin Bet accused the arrested persons of being behind many of the attacks that had taken place, and that they were planning more large attacks. Israel also arrested Palestinian politician Khaleda Jarrar.

The agency, which works in cooperation with the Israeli police and occupation army, announced the confiscation of weapons with the detainees, including various weapons, bomb-making materials, and radio communications devices.

Last September, the Shin Bet announced the arrest of three people who they said had planned the attack. The Israeli Broadcasting Corporation reported that indictments had been filed against most of the detainees.
