“The arbitral award on the expropriation of investments in the Crimea remains in force - the Swiss Supreme Court for the second time denied Russia. By a decision of December 12, 2019, the Swiss Supreme Court dismissed the statement of the Russian Federation on the cancellation of the international arbitral award in favor of Ukrnafta, the statement said.

It is noted that Russia in the framework of this court decision should pay $ 44 million, as well as 155 thousand Swiss francs of legal costs.

The company emphasizes that this court decision is final.

Earlier, the Supreme Court of Great Britain postponed the decision on a dispute on Ukraine’s debt to Russia over outstanding $ 3 billion Eurobonds.

Crimea became the Russian region after a referendum held there in March 2014, in which most residents spoke out for reunification with Russia.
