Today, a step was taken to find a planet similar to ours. In French Guiana in South America, the satellite Cheops was postponed to look for planetary systems like ours and planets like Earth. At several thousand miles away, at the Onsala Space Observatory, among other Chalmers researchers, the rocket launched into space.
With the help of the satellite Cheops, scientists now have the opportunity to study planets far away. Among other things, Cheops will look for planetary systems similar to ours, and even planets like Earth.
