The YouTube channel that features young American Ryan Kaji, 8, has grossed $ 26 million in one year, according to Forbes magazine, which places it at the top of its YouTubers ranking published on Wednesday.

The boy's channel, real name Ryan Guan, was already at the top of Google's video platform last year, with $ 22 million, according to Forbes.

The channel "Ryan's World", launched in 2015 by Ryan's parents, who was only 3 years old, has 22.9 million subscribers.

It was originally called "Ryan ToysReview" and included many videos of the little boy opening gift packages and having fun with his new toys.

Several of them have exceeded a billion views and in total the chain has approached 35 billion views since its creation, according to data from the specialized site Social Blade.

The chain was conveniently renamed recently when a consumer defense association, Truth in Advertising, seized the United States Federal Agency for Trade Regulation (FTC) about it.

The association criticized him for not clearly signaling sponsored videos, for which brands pay so that their products are promoted.

The channel has also developed its content by offering videos for teaching or educational purposes.

In the classification established by Forbes, Ryan Kaji is ahead of the Dude Perfect chain, animated by a group of Texans who succeed in improbable feats (basketball basket marked from the top of a building or from a helicopter).

Third last year, Dude Perfect came second for the period from June 1, 2018 to June 1, 2019, with $ 20 million in revenue.

On the third step of the podium, another channel dedicated to a child, the Russian Anastasia Radzinskaya, only five years old, with 18 million dollars.

Its channels "Like Nastya Vlog" and "Funny Stacy" have a total of nearly 70 million subscribers on YouTube, with videos in Russian, English and Spanish.

In early September, Google, the parent company of YouTube, agreed to pay a fine of $ 170 million after the FTC accused it of collecting personal data from YouTube user children without prior authorization.

According to the FTC, the platform used them so that the messages of certain advertisers are preferably seen by children.
