“We expect that the current Iranian-Russian cooperation in the framework of the implementation of the JCPOA, in particular on the nuclear facility in Fordo, will continue and even expand,” he said in an interview with Kommersant.

The ambassador also noted that Russia remains Iran’s most reliable partner in the JCPOA, although in economic terms, in his opinion, Moscow and Beijing could “do more to support Iran.”

“There is a possibility that after several more periods of reduction, there simply will not be any obligations that Iran wants to fulfill,” the diplomat added.

Earlier, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov announced the development by Rosatom of measures to continue the implementation of work at the facility in Fordo.
