Euronews, the first global news channel in Europe, revealed the details of a meeting with the Emirati astronaut, Hazza Al Mansouri, in which he reviewed aspects of his space journey, during which he talked about the future of the United Arab Emirates and travel to space, two months after his return to a planet Earth, entering history, as the first Emirati astronaut to travel into space.

The channel stated that Al-Mansouri, after his trip to the International Space Station, is focusing his attention on the Emirati "Probe of Hope" project, which is planned to reach Mars in conjunction with the fiftieth anniversary of the establishment of the United Arab Emirates, becoming the ninth country to land on this planet.

He is also working on the main space program for the UAE, which extends for a period of 100 years under the name "Mars 2117", which aims to send people to the Red Planet by the year 2117.

As part of his comment on the “Mars 2117” program, Al-Mansouri said: “Food security, energy and how to survive in light of the high levels of radiation, which negatively affect our bodies, are among the most important challenges that we must face, so we must study all of these challenges. We also stimulate a culture of science, and here I note that we will build in the UAE a settlement that simulates the environment of living on Mars, and in addition to that, we will construct many buildings, as well as allocate a museum, and we will invite scientists to join this simulation environment to study Mars closely. I would like to clarify that the challenges that we will face on the space station, or on Mars or the moon, in the future, will also affect us here on the planet, from food security and energy, to how to save water. ”

Al-Mansouri also commented on providing Emirati food to the astronauts on the International Space Station, and the reactions he received, saying: “I presented them with Emirati food on the International Space Station, and it was a great experience for them because our food, as you know, is unique in its flavors and spices, and they loved it Really, as we took many photos, they said they want to order more of these foods in the future, so I hope they will always order them. ”

After undergoing a year-long training system in Russia, and his trip to the International Space Station on September 25, Al-Mansouri became one of the well-known personalities on the world stage, and today he leads the work of future UAE space missions, and motivates Emirati youth to learn more about space culture, as the first pioneer Emirati space.
