The high water levels and the drainage of water mean that the number of drains must be reduced. Maritime traffic runs as usual, but the reconstruction is affected by the lock and the canal.

- We try to minimize our own boat traffic and move some work. It goes from 10-20 building-related locks to 3-4, ”says Peter Knutsson.

The building will be a little dormant

What is the status of the lock building now?

- Construction is about to be completed. It is well known that the Swedish Maritime Administration and the contractor take different paths. We are in the process of closing the building, it will stand in a little hibernation and some protective measures will be taken. We will also tidy up a bit and there will be some walkways and double traffic over the lock bridge.

A little bit unlucky that there is low activity on the building now?

- Yes, it is clear that it facilitates when there is less activity. There will be less things to consider and plan for.
