The sprinter Caleb Ewan, stage winner on the three big Tours, has extended his contract with the Lotto-Soudal team until the end of the 2022 season, the Belgian team announced on Wednesday.

In Mallorca, where manager John Lelangue's proteges are currently training, "Caleb Ewan and his teammates Jasper De Buyst and Roger Kluge have extended their contracts until the end of 2022," the statement said.

The three riders were linked to the formation of the World Tour, the first division of world cycling, until the end of the 2020 season.

Caleb Ewan, 25, joined the Belgian team in early 2019 from Mitchelton-Scott.

From his first year at Lotto, the Australian won three stages of the Tour de France and two stages of the Giro.

He also raised his arms on the Tour of Spain 2015 and won in 2019 the Brussels Cycling Classics (formerly Paris-Brussels).

The German Roger Kluge counts for his part a stage of the Tour of Italy to his prize list (2016).
