FC Liverpool qualified for the Club World Cup final by defeating CF Monterrey on Wednesday 18 December (2-1). Naby Keïta and Roberto Firmino scored the goals of the Reds' tough victory. The English club will face Flamengo in the final on Saturday December 21.

Opposed to CF Monterrey this Wednesday, December 18 in the semi-final of the Club World in Doha (Qatar), Liverpool had to fight to win. Faced with the winner of the CONCACAF Champions League, the Reds quickly opened the scoring thanks to the Guinean Naby Keïta , ideally served in the meantime by the Egyptian Mohamed Salah (12th).

The midfielder of the National Syli has had good performances and goals in recent weeks. But the Mexicans quickly returned to the score thanks to Rogelio Funes, ideally placed to deceive Alisson Becker on a badly released ball (14th).

Liverpool for a first title?

Shaken, the champions of the Champions League finally snatched the decision in the last moments of the match, thanks to their substitutes Trent Alexander-Arnold and Roberto Firmino, who came into play in the 74th and 85th respectively. After a good job from Mohamed Salah, the English side has sent a perfect center for the flat of the foot of the Brazilian striker (90 + 1e).
