The wild boar hunt was held at night, north of Kalmar village in May earlier this year.

The pregnant cow that was shot, and later died, was in a garden near a residential building. Other animals were also grazing in the pasture, and were near a residential building.

"Endangered people"

The 33-year-old who shot the cow has put people and property at risk, either knowingly or by gross negligence, according to the prosecutor. The prosecution has evidence that the hunting leader was informed that there were grazing animals in the pasture before the hunt began.

The 33-year-old is required to pay SEK 44,000 in damages to the landowner for the killed cow. He admits the course of events himself but denies the crime.
