The Consumer Protection Center in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, said that new smartphones often include many pre-installed applications from a third party, and these applications are often social media.

The center explained that these applications are known as "Bloatware", noting that some of these applications cannot be uninstalled, that is, they cannot be removed from the device.

However, the user can disable it at least in order to free up memory, speed up the phone, extend battery life on the one hand, and prevent these applications from running in the background, and then increase security on the other.
