The Sharjah Criminal Court heard the case of an Arab youth, accused of stealing more than one shop with the help of a number of people, and was able to steal one million dirhams from the treasury of a shop in Sharjah, and was monitored by surveillance cameras.

Details of the case are attributed to Sharjah Police receiving more than one report of stealing shops selling clothes and furnishings in one way and method. Among the reports was the theft of one million dirhams from inside the treasury of one of the stores. In one of the stolen shops, he was caught, and on investigation, he confessed to carrying out several thefts with the help of a number of people who fled outside the country after these crimes were committed.

The court heard a witness working for Sharjah Police, who confirmed that, based on several reports of separate locations being stolen, the accused was reached after the shop was stolen through the surveillance cameras that showed him clearly.

He added that the accused, along with a number of fleeing persons, managed to steal a treasury inside the amount of one million dirhams after breaking it, where he admitted in the investigations of carrying out all thefts, and that his partners left the country after carrying out the theft in the morning, before the owner of the shop informed the police of the theft. The court confronted the accused with the charges against him, and with the statements of the witness, and he maintained his denial of the charges and not committing thefts.

The Public Prosecution requested the conviction of the accused, while the court decided to postpone the case to the next January 13 session, to rule on the case.
