“Instead of taking this official version on the site of the Champs Elysees, Ukrainian officials decided to show either creativity or negligence and placed a text translated by them from Ukrainian into English on the office of the President of Ukraine,” Donetsk News Agency quoted her as saying.
She noted that in the end, a poor-quality and distorted translation was presented on an electronic resource.
“We don’t know whether this was done for the purpose of deliberate falsification or because of blatant incompetence,” said Nikonorova, urging Kiev to publish the correct version of the text.
On November 11, the head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, criticized the Ukrainian version of the communiqué of the summit in Paris. In particular, it turned out that the part of the text where the parties agreed that they would discuss “all legal aspects of the special status” of Donbass was replaced with “all legal aspects of the law on special status”.
The Kremlin responded by saying that it was "not so important" because there is a reference text in English.
Later, the official representative of Kiev in the political subgroup, Alexei Reznikov, explained the corrections to the difficulties of translation.
