She noted that the alliance was already close to an “explosion” shortly before the 2003 Iraq war.

The ex-minister also added that NATO needs to accept a number of proposals from the Russian side.

“We need to stop antagonizing Russia and presenting it in a false light,” Kneisl added.

On December 4, Polish President Andrzej Duda announced that he did not consider Russia an enemy of NATO.
