17 December 20194.36 The ex Bolivian president Evo Morales, in exile in Argentina, asked the United Nations to send an international commission to Bolivia to guarantee "free and transparent elections". After the forced resignation of Morales and his departure for exile, the Bolivian parliament passed a law in late November calling for presidential and legislative elections, establishing that the former president has no right to be a candidate. The date of the vote has not yet been set.
