The prison commissioner José Manuel Villarejo has released a statement in which he claims that the CNI has already managed to decrypt "all" the material that was seized from him, but that hides the part he does not want to be disseminated. "That material that is pointed out again and again that 'cannot be decrypted' is precisely the one that, those who act more in the role of inquisitors than researchers, do not want Spanish society to know, because it affects them themselves. crimes committed by the State and its political, security and judicial authorities are intended to disappear in the most rude and unpunished way without anyone saying anything. It is shameful, "says the retired commissioner.

The statement comes after the principal investigated in the Tandem operation has seen how the Criminal Court of the National Court ratifies the decision of the investigating judge to extend the provisional prison measure by two years, up to the legal maximum of four years. In the statement he summarizes as "a massive digital manipulation and unprecedented in the history of Spain," Villarejo explains that affirming that it is impossible to access part of the archives "is completely false." The reason is that "the encrypted parties had a unique password entered by members of the CNI and, therefore, if it has been possible to decrypt 'something', 'everything' is already decrypted. All files are open and everyone has been able to access ".

Until now, Villarejo has acted judicially - unsuccessfully - both against the Anticorruption prosecutors who take the case as well as against the judge Manuel García Castellón , who has kept him in prison since November 2017. In the statement, the defendant states that part of the material that does not want to be disclosed affects the judge: "the Jano file [supposed control of the judiciary], Sogecable case, Faisán case , Mario Conde agreements ... or even those relating to his stay abroad as a liaison judge" .

The document adds that other files that are being covered affect "very important personalities of the State, magistrates and prosecutors and the business world." And he warns that the material that he wants to hide will transcend when his lawyer can access it or little by little through leaks of the summary, "causing very hard destruction for the economy of the country." The latest news of the case has uncovered the supposed works of Villarejo for Iberdrola. He also claims to be convinced that CNI officials are destroying part of the archives that "do not want Spanish society to know." Among them, those that affect the intelligence service itself and "very precise orders, especially those that could touch in one way or another the PSOE government and leading socialists."

The list of denunciations of the communiqué includes that the CNI is "subtly" manipulating the reports and audios that have been disclosed, using "programs that the CNI has both for voice cloning and for the attack on servers and alteration of

metadata. "Those same programs would have been used, he adds, to create evidence against terrorist suspects such as in the Catalonia operation against independence leaders. Precisely like those imprisoned in the process , Villarejo states that he only trusts the international courts, which he trusts to unmask the truth. "If I go out with prison life, which is not certain, even if it is the last thing I do, I will succeed. Every day my state of health worsens, but my strength of will to do it grows at the same time, "he ends.
