A report posted on the US State Department website indicates that Hale emphasized "unwavering support for Ukraine’s territorial integrity in the face of ongoing Russian aggression."
"Undersecretary Hale and Deputy Prime Minister Kuleba also discussed the next steps after the December 9 Summit in the Norman format and the importance of continuing progress in implementing the reform program to ensure the success of Ukraine," the State Department said.
In early December, the US foreign affairs agency announced a visit to Ukraine by US Under Secretary of State Philip Ricker.
