Russia and PRC submit to UN Security Council resolution on easing sanctions against DPRK

The document notes that "(the Security Council. - RT) must adapt the sanctions measures applied to the DPRK in view of the fact that the country is fulfilling its obligations under the relevant UN Security Council resolutions."

The resolution also proposes "to remove as soon as possible (restrictive. - RT) measures" introduced by the UN Security Council "that directly affect the lives of the civilian population of North Korea.

Earlier, Russia's ambassador to the DPRK, Alexander Macegora, said that Russia, together with China, plans to present a new course to the UN Security Council aimed at solving the nuclear problem of North Korea.
