Specialists studied samples of eight different categories, including cereal flakes, baby food, cereals, pasta, tea, flour, seasonings and milk from Russia, Finland, Germany, Croatia, Slovenia, Italy, France, the Netherlands, Sweden and Sri Lanka. All products are marked as organic.

Two out of 24 products did not meet the requirements established by federal law for such products.

This is black organic tea Richman, produced in Sri Lanka, and black classic tea "Matsesta" made in Russia.

“As the study showed, both products contained pesticides. Moreover, hexachlorobenzene (in a small concentration) was discovered in Sri Lankan tea, for which the Stockholm Convention on Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs) applies, according to which this substance is banned worldwide, ”noted the Roskachestvo.

They also reminded that the Institute of Ethical and Environmental Certification of Italy, which issued the documents to Matseste, has not been working in Russia for several years. The certificate has expired in 2012.

Earlier, as Nation News reported, the experts of Roskachestvo gave recommendations on how to determine the quality of wine at home.
