Rambler asks to close the case against Nginx

This is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to a statement by Rambler following a meeting of the board of directors of the holding.

“Having considered all these circumstances, the board of directors unanimously decided ... to instruct Rambler management to appeal to the Russian law enforcement authorities with a request to terminate the criminal case initiated earlier ...”, the message said.

The board of directors also instructed, if necessary, to continue to ensure the protection of the interests of the company within the framework of the civil law field.

At the same time, the management was instructed to terminate the contract with Lynwood, which in 2015, the holding ceded the right to bring claims and claims regarding violations of rights to Nginx. Lynwood will also be asked to contact law enforcement with a request to withdraw its application.

Earlier, the media reported on a search in the Moscow office of Nginx in the framework of the case, which was instituted on suspicion of copyright infringement. The case was filed at the request of Lynwood Investments.
