It was in September of this year that the 28-year-old man locked the woman in the apartment and beat her by kicking her on the leg. The two who then lived as cohabitants separated after the incident and the woman moved away.

A month later, the man showed up at the woman's new home. The man then tore the woman down on the floor and held her mouth. The man also beat the woman and this incident resulted in the woman getting shortness of breath and white blood.

A few days later, the man was back in her home again trying to get into the home by slamming in her door.

Formerly convicted of gross violation of women's rights

The 28-year-old admits that he locked her in and that he has been at her residence but apart from a push, he refuses any form of abuse.

The man has since been convicted of violating women's peace against his former partner. Varberg's district court sentenced the man to one year in prison for gross violation of women, when the man returned to crime.

He will also pay almost SEK 100,000 in damages to the woman.
